NHC Foundations Difference
Installation of our piles is far superior to our competitors. All of the steel our piles are made from is independently tested by our manufacturer to ensure the pipe complies with AS. Our piles are specifically designed by a third party engineer to perform based on your projects soil test and bore hole log, ensuring performance of the pile is guaranteed.
The ends are capped with 10mm plate and ‘teeth’.
The supporting plate is a continuous steel helix made out of high tensile plate steel.
Our piles are fully seam welded onsite which prevents the pile ‘folding’ on the joint. Unlike the competition which utilise bolted connections.
This also prevents water/moisture ingress and ensures the piles corrosion rates are as per the engineered design ensuing the design life of the pile.
Our piles are solid core filled – this reduces the corrosion rates and ensures the corrosion zone under the footing is supported long after the design life of the pile has passed.
If your pile contractor is not providing fully capped piles with welded joints and the piles are not core filled, the life of the pile due to corrosion can in many cases be 50% of the intended design life.
